With breath taking views of the city, the scene alone could bring a man to his knees. Being up so high above the buildings and amongst the clouds was so peaceful and calming.

We arrived on the lower level at Reunion Tower and was greeted by the kindest man who checked us in from our previous reservation.

He then escorted us to the elevator and told us to enjoy the ride up the building. Up-up-and-away we went as we soared into the air. Now I’m not gonna lie, i nearly lost all my apple slices as I watched us raise higher and higher above the buildings, but after a little breathing exercises, I was good to go.

We stepped out and were greeted by a table of 3 hosts who escorted us off to our window seat for dinner.

That view guys, like literally, I don’t think I could paint a picture beautiful enough with my words to describe it, so clearly we can confirm it left me speechless.

We went during restaurant week, so not only was the price just right, but the menu was perfect as well. I would like to point out that the service was spot on. Josh was the gentleman that took care of us, but my eyes were on the man pouring the water all night.  I have no idea what his name was, but just know I drank a lot of water that night. Enough about the men, lets get to the eats!

The menu for restaurant week was a pre fix 3 course meal, but the options were pretty amazing. I wish I could have tried them all. Christa and I decided to get totally different things so we could have a mixture of the different foods. They had an optional  4th course ,which for an extra price you could get their spicy tuna roll. So…. of course we did that! We also ordered some glasses of wine because we felt the atmosphere was calling for it….I mean that is what we told ourselves. lol

So lets have a keeping it real moment…..this place has the best spicy tuna I have ever had! It’s like Wolfgang knew I was coming and made his own special ocean where he personally took care of and nurtured the tuna before they cut them up into rolls of heaven in preparation for my arrival. Not only did the tuna melt in my mouth, but it was the perfect amount of spice.

Christa chose the duck pot stickers for her appetizer. That dish alone made me never want to eat pot stickers ever again unless they are filled with duck.

I ordered the lobster and corn fritter which were yummy. I definitely could not taste the lobster, but Christa insisted there was some in there…mhm sure. *side eye*

For Christa’s second course she had the quail, which was seared with tandori spice and served with a fresh cucumber and onion salad with a side of rice. There was also a yogurt sauce that was under the quail, which was pretty good as well. The quail was very well seasoned. The only thing I did not like was the film the seasoning left on your mouth, but other than that it was very good.

I had the beef udon which was delish! The meal melted in mouth and was filled with so much flavor. Now being the eater that I am, I wasn’t impressed by the small portion and thought I would be having to order me another plate of something, but surprisingly, it filled me up! It was just the perfect amount.  I mean, I would have loved to have just sat there with a plate of those duck pot stickers and that man pouring me water and I would have been okay.

Lastly was dessert, and boy was that my favorite part! We had a coconut and chocolate macaroon, cheesecake, raspberry sorbet and a couple of strawberries garnished on the side. Since Christa doesn’t like cheesecake, we decided to swap out my macaroon for her cheesecake. All of them were soooooo good! I definitely could go for round two of that now.

Oh, we definitely need to mention how amazing the plating was all around! So perfect, each dish could have easily scored a place on the cover of a magazine; so well done Five-Sixty for that! *round of applause*

Five-Sixty is definitely a must try, it is expensive, so come ready to spend and spend some more lol Besides that, I recommend you go there at least once, even if it is just to have a cocktails while gazing outside at that view. I promise you definitely won’t regret it.

  1. This food is amazing! The sea bass was so tender, and the Asian lo mein noodles were awesome too. I had the duck and it was wonderful. I miss this place 😔
