The Desserts That Changed Our Lives: Brewed, Ft.Worth

Downtown Ft. Worth is where we ended up on our tour of sweet at a little cafe named Brewed. The atmosphere is similar to a Starbucks with a twist, because unless like Starbucks they sell beer and have some of the best desserts we have ever had. It is a cool place for a date, a study night, or even a place to just chill with friends. The service is also very good. Our waiter Taylor was a pretty cool guy, and was very helpful with the menu. I do not want to bore you with details because we know you came here for one reason…Let’s Get To The Eats!!!!

Give me a moment to recover from the best dessert that I have ever eaten. If you did not know I love all things chocolate and this hit the spot! I had their version of the childhood camping classic S’mores.

It was served in a jar and it had a small layer of crushed graham crackers with the middle showcasing a luscious thick layer of cool chocolate ganache. The chocolate was perfect. I could have had a bowl of it by itself. It was topped with a large toasted marshmallow…which definitely made the dessert even better. I never really cared for S’mores as a child, but if they were served like this, I would have loved them. Screen Shot 2014-11-05 at 10.03.49 PM

India’s dessert was a Dulce de Leche bread pudding that was served with homemade cream cheese ice cream. You all know how much we love ice cream, and this was delicious for sure. In fact, the ice cream made the whole dish. We even told them that they need to sell it by the pint because we would buy it. The bread pudding was perfect as well, served warm and topped with plenty of dulce de leche.

Ft. Worth has a few hidden gems and Brewed is one of them. We will be making another trip there in the near future and bringing friends as well.
