We definitely came at the perfect time to Bolsa, happy hour!
Starting our quest to try some delicious desserts around DFW area, Bolsa was the chosen first stop. The restaurant is located in the Bishop Arts District of Dallas in a cute modern looking building. Parking was simple but definitely could be an issue on weekends with a lot of guests.
__________________________________________________________Of course we started off with what? Cocktails! Especially because they were all on sale for happy hour so obvi we had to join in on the cheap drinks!
On to dessert, I had the White Chocolate Rum Tile which had a vanilla wafer crust and a caramel rum sauce. I looooove banana pudding so I figured this would be classier spin on it, and it was. The picture definitely speaks mounds about it along with this beautiful plating.
If you like bananas, I feel like you will like this dessert!
Christa had the Pear almond tart with homemade cinnamon ice cream.
The crust on the tart was very buttery and moist. The almonds were ground into the crust which gave it the perfect amount of flavor and crunch. The pears were succulent and delish. The kicker was that cinnamon ice cream. I love that it was homemade first off and a scoop of that along with the tart balanced out the flavors very well. Just imagine Christmas in a bite, and that is what this tart will bring to you.
Bolsa’s desserts were a perfect way to start off our dessert tour in the month of October and gave us a great outlook for what was to come.
