The last stop on our month of sweet treats landed us in Dallas to a lovely place by the name of Chocolate Secrets.
This place is mix between a cute little french cafe and a Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory.
It is was very quaint, yet had a nice open feel to it. They have everything from chocolates and tarts to sundaes and wine. We were very surprised by the wide selection and had a trouble deciding on what to get.
After looking at the case multiple times, we finally picked what we were going to munch on. India chose the peanut butter banana cup that was dipped in chocolate and a toffee truffle.
I chose probably the best piece of cake that I have ever eaten. Thinking about it actually makes my mouth water and gets me all excited inside. It was chocolate cake that was layered with a mousse and topped topped with caramel and sea salt.
If I could rewind that moment where it took my first bite, I would do it 12 times. It was so moist but not too rich. I also had a cabarnet and a cognac truffle.
They were delicious as well and you taste the cab which was my favorite part. One of my favorite items they have are macaroons and of course I got one. It was light and crisp just as a macaroon should be with the perfect amount of chocolate.
We will definitely be making a trip back to chocolate secrets especially to get one one of one of those sundaes. It was a little bit pricey, but I have no problem for paying for quality and good flavor.
