Don’t you just miss the holiday season already?? Cold weather, stretch pants, sweat pants, men with beards, and plenty of comfort foods. Now that the holidays are pretty much over, we decided to share our must have E•A•T•S during the holiday time! We at the E•A•T•S headquarters have gathered some of our favorite yummy holiday dishes and wrapped it up into a short installment just for you! Hope you enjoy this short piece that is straight from our hearts, but most importantly, our stomachs. 😉 Enjoy fellow foodies!
LET’S GET TO THE EATS!!!
1. Auntie’s Famous Homemade Caramel Cake
India knew what her favorite dish was her Aunt’s caramel cake. For as long as I can remember she has talked about this cake. She makes sure that when her Aunt is in town, she gets a cake for herself. I’m not a big fan of caramel, but this cake is delish! She makes the caramel homemade and coats the whole cake with a thick and generous helping of caramel on top!
2. Auntie’s Homemade Potato Salad
First on my list has to be my Aunt’s potato salad. I know potato salad is a anytime side, but I rarely get to see my family so it’s a treat for me! I love potato salad, but getting it at a restaurant doesn’t compare to my Aunt’s homemade potato salad. It’s creamy but yet has perfect bite size chunks in it.
3. Granny’s Homemade Sweet Potato Pie
Lastly, I had to pay homage towards my grandma for that delish sweet potato pie! Every Thanksgiving I know I can count on two things, family and pie. After all the turkey, dressing and family chatter is over everyones mind goes to dessert. I am two steps ahead of everyone else because I cut my piece already and eating it in my food corner. Im not sure about anyone else, but my grandma makes the best pie ever!! No one knows the recipe to the pie, but I hope one day she trusts me with it. 🙂
Side note: Just writing this blog has me wanting some pie. Let me go make a trip to my grandmas house, be back in two hours.
