Hey Foodies! Our latest eating adventure took us over to the fancy side. We love the chance to dress all cute and throw on a pair of heels for dinner, so going to Law at The Four Seasons was a great opportunity for us.
We headed over the The Four Seasons in Las Colinas in hopes for a delicious dinner at their restaurant Law, and we were NOT disappointed. The hostess saw us down near a table by the window. There happened to be a wedding going on so watching all the hustle and bustle of everyone celebrating the happy occasion was a great view over dinner.
We started off with apps of course. We couldn’t resist the deviled eggs, they were practically screaming our names. lol The deviled eggs were filled with blue crab, chives and lemon pepper and served on a bed of arugula.
The eggs were great! The consistency was so creamy and the blue crab was the absolute perfect edition. Definitely a must try.
For some reason I was in the mood for some onion rings and had to have them. The Four Seasons serves theirs with a chili-lime aioli. The batter on these were delicious. It honestly was the perfect amount.
Often times restaurants will give you these sickly sized onions with a crumbly batter on top. Not The Four Seasons! You will get a thick cut onion ring coated in the perfect amount of batter. Crispy and delish to say the least.
It was time for mama to get a drink, so we took a break from the self induced food coma to order a good ole cocktail. I chose “This Side of Paradise” which was rightfully named.
This drink is Bacardi silver, lilet blanc, prickly pear purée, lemon, and del maguey chichicapa mezcal. Imagine being on an island laying out on the beach and that is what this drink delivers. The drink is served in a beaker with a flower on top. Waaaaay too pretty to drink…but I somehow managed. lol
After a few sips of my cocktail I was ready to proceed with dinner. *Clap Clap* Bring on the entrees!
For me, the Chicken Fried Pheasant Breast was the clear choice. I have no words besides delicious.
I wanted one to go but wasn’t trying to show my inner fatty. lol I instead saved half so I could nom on it during a later hour.
Christa had the Wagyu Flank Steak cooked medium. We all know Wagyu is at the top of the list for all things beef, and this dish was no exception.
It was seared and had a nice seasoned crust. The steak was perf without sauce, but a little bernaise didn’t hurt it and took the creaminess to a whole new level!!
For sides, we ordered the lobster mac and cheese, the charred asparagus topped with a farm egg and the marble potatoes with roasted garlic.
Lobster mac and cheese lived up the the hype we put behind it.
Creamy cheesy goodness filled with a healthy serving of plump lobster chunks. We pretty much fought each other over that it was so yummy. lol
The roasted potatoes were also fire.
I pushed those little gems right on to my side of the table and quietly gobbled them up. #No Regrets. They had a great amount of garlic which I looooove.
The charred asparagus was also yummy!
A runny yolk makes anything delicious we are convinced. The char paired well with the creamy and richness of the yolk.
Whoooo! Idk about you, but at this point we were “full as ticks” as my grandmother used to say. lol Mama was needing a breathing break before we moved on to desserts. lol Okay let’s press on.
Dessert was the final part of the night. At this time, the sun was setting and we had made a friend who kept trying to chat with us from across the restaurant. He had the lust in his eye with all the dishes he kept seeing us eat. He wanted to know what we had going on. lol
We ordered the Law S’mores. Pretty much a campfire served table side that ends in a oozy-gooey chocolatey goodness.
Def was yummy. I was hoping the chocolate was a little warmer and literally melting in my hands. We don’t mind getting messy with our food. 😉
Lastly was the Chocolate for Two. The was a bittersweet chocolate molten cake served with vanilla sauce.
Chocolate for Two could easily been chocolate for one. lol All I needed was a cake to myself with a scoop of ice cream and I would have been good to go. Man I am dreaming about that all over again…..
Dinner at Law definitely did not disappoint. Have you been before? If so, tell us about your experience, we would love to hear! If not, head on over there ASAP and get your blessing!
